Eclipse the movie release date: June 30th 2010?

Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that summit is planning the release date for the Eclipse movie for June 30th 2010:



EXCLUSIVE: I’ve confirmed there’s no director hired yet. And the two productions won’t be back-to-back. But that hasn’t stopped Summit Entertainment from newly scheduling its Twilight threequel for release on June 30, 2010, not long after its Twilight sequel New Moon set for November 20th this year now being helmed by Chris Weitz. Summit also officially changed the name of its vampire movie franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling series of novels to The Twilight Saga. Here’s how Summit descibes the plot of the threequel Eclipse:


“As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death.”

Chris Weitz will NOT direct Eclipse movie

EW.com just has some exclusive info on why New Moon movie director, Chris Weitz, won’t be directing Eclipse movie:



Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together, Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films.

On the previous post, i posted bout twilight saga 7 secrets by OK! Magazine. And, few of them are false. Here are the correct one:


1. from HisGoldenEyes, that Paramore is penning New Moon's title track may be a load of crap. In fact, Paramore declared this rumor false via LiveJournal


2. I'm not sure that 90210 star, Brandon Michael Vayda will play as Jared. In my mind, Jared is akinda hottie, but i dont think so bout Brandon.


3. AnnaLynne McCord is NOT doing New Moon.
AnnaLynne McCord, who was slated to play the receptionist to the Volturi vampires in Rome, Heidi, tells OK! she's no longer going to be in that role.

"I am so disappointed but it doesn't look like it is going to happen with my schedule," she revealed to OK! at the L.A. premiere of Fired Up on Feb. 19.

Fans of the 90210 star might still have some hope, as she adds, "But keep your fingers crossed for me. I hope that it still does!"

But, there's a bad news. This article is from Lainey, who is total bitch about Rob. She's disgusting, yeww. And there's also a part when she insulted Rob(sheat) but i didnt want to post it. She was at Grey Goose party too:

At this point he had on a black leather jacket and there was an young aunt-ish (your uncle’s second or third wife) looking lady with her arm looped into his and she was cold so he was like – come inside, warm up, you don’t have to stand out there, and I remember thinking to myself: is that how high his voice is?"

Another international hunky vampire sighting! Celebuzz reports the following:


Robert Pattinson threw some serious vampire magic late last night at Coach & Horses pub in Los Angeles.

When the Twilight star showed up with a group of friends at the British-themed bar after 10 p.m last night "the girl I was working with freaked out," bartender Peter Renaud tells Celebuzz.

"She went over to his table to serve him. He took it upon himself to introduce himself and shook her hand. And it happened. She turned into a five-year-old girl," Renaud says.

"From her reaction, he's clearly as hot in person as he is in film. She was too shy to really say anything to him."

Pattinson, in town to present at Sunday's Academy Awards, hung out with primarily British friends for about 2 1/2 hours. Heineken was the drink of choice.

"He was pretty much left alone, it was dark and they chilled," says Renaud. "Just booze, nice music and conversation."

Other than that old age-transportation-trick pulled on the bartender perhaps the only remarkable moment of the evening was when one of Pattinson's group fell off her barstool. "They all had a good laugh about that," says Renaud.

Oh, and one other note: Robert if you are reading this, your friend Zeb left his hat at the bar. (RC: What? haha.)

Our favorite Brit boy is here in Hollywood. As you must know by now, the Twilight star is going to be presenting at the Academy Awards on Sunday. (Nope, his costar Kristen Stewart is not expected to join him.) RC: Good, Kris.


So what's he been up to since he got here?


Mr. Pattinson was spotted in Beverly Hills yesterday, followed by dinner at Grey Goose night at the new West Hollywood outpost of London's famed Italian brasserie Cecconi's.


He arrived by himself (how much do we love that he doesn't travel with an entourage?) at about 8:30 p.m. and enjoyed the cicchetti, the eatery's signature plate of Italian tapas. "He ate dinner with friends and hung out in the patio area," a fellow diner reports.


I hear he'll be rehearsing his Oscar gig on Saturday afternoon at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

It seems that many people think the band My Chemical Romance would be a perfect fit for a Twilight Movie. They were even featured on some of Stephenie Meyer's Playlists. Well, they DON'T want in on the soundtrack!

I guess a lot of people would say that a vampire movie would fit, but I would disagree with that these days. Even since Black Parade, I would kind of disagree with that. New Moon's logo

MTV has officially revealed the New Moon title and logo!

Although the look of the new logo will undoubtedly get Twilighter tongues wagging, it’s the five-word official title that is the most prominent variation from Stephenie Meyer’s simple “New Moon.”

As for the logo itself, Weitz has chosen to stay with the lowercase lettering, personable font and light-streaks-poking-through look of last year’s hit film. In switching from blue to orange, the movie’s upcoming posters will be instantly distinguishable from those of the original “Twilight” – which should make them look a whole lot cooler when teenage girls all over the world add them to their walls. The presence of orange also begs a new question: Now that blue and orange are taken, which colors should be used for “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn”?

No Rob songs for New Moon?

TWILIGHT star ROBERT PATTINSON has turned down the chance to contribute to the soundtrack for the vampire movie's forthcoming sequel - because he wants to keep music as a back up career.The British actor is a talented composer, pianist and guitarist and wrote two songs for the original movie, helping the soundtrack top the U.S. album charts upon its release last year (08). But Pattinson insists he's now taking a backseat to rockers Paramore, who are penning the title track to the movie's sequel, New Moon - because pursuing music professionally was never his intention. He tells America's OK! magazine, "I really didn't want it to look like I was trying to cash in. Music is my back up plan."

Madonna is reportedly set to be involved in Twilight sequel New Moon.
The Material Girl hitmaker’s manager, Guy Oseary, will be executive-producing the upcoming flick - which is based on the novel by author Stephenie Meyer - and is keen to get the star on board for the project.

It is unknown to whether Madonna, 50, will either act in New Moon or sing for the soundtrack or both.
